She knew there would be bumps in the road, so she protected her heart, adjusted her attitude and held onto God's promises with both hands.

Moments :)

It's these moments that we look back on and smile.
It's these moments that make everything better.
Moments,
good or bad
we are blessed to have moments,
they are God's precious gifts for us to cherish.
As I said before, good or bad.
We have to stop and reflect on EVERY moment.

Think about it,
think of a bad thing that has happened to you.
Something good came from it right?
You learned a lesson or became a stronger person or grew closer to God.
Blessed are the ones that are faced with trials.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4

"SOOOO, how is marriage so far?"
This has been the number one question I am asked.
So...
let me be the first to tell you that it
 has been so amazing.
I love being married to my husband.
James is James.
-kind, caring, romantic, loving, and extremely SUPPORTIVE:)

Together, we take marriage so seriously.
Truthfully I have been so blessed with this MAN!!

God has joined us together (with Him) so we can live a happy life through Him.
Of course it wont always be "peacock and pearls,"
but it will always be worth it.

I never advertise but......

My In-Laws have recently moved to Albuquerque and are selling a few items!

This is a dining room set. The table extends to a six man table, the leaves never leave the table, they literally "tuck" under the top. The want to sell the table/chairs, hutch and china cabinet all together.
Let me know if you are interested :)

A special part of my wedding day

Honestly, the day of our wedding was the best day of my life so far.
I loved every part of the day, beginning early a.m. yoga, to preparing food and cooking everything. We catered it ourselves. To placing every item (cookies, brownie bites, crackers, dips, drinks etc) on each table.

Everyone kept asking me after we returned, what was your favorite part of the whole day?
My favorite part of the day was saying my vowels to him, and him to me. My heart melted when I heard him declare those things in front of God, it was my favorite part.

The second favorite part of the day was my cousin Kimber :)
Kimber is 10 years old, she was a junior bridesmaids.
This is Kimber and I this summer.

Kimber is on the right, brunette.

So why was she my second favorite part of my day?
Because of her innocence, kindness, helpfulness.

The day of the wedding, Brad Kelly Kimber and the girls (twins), showed up early to the house to help prepare. Might I add my Aunt Kelly is such a great woman. She helped us so much that day and well ...everyday of our lives. Any event we attend or any thing in our life (birthday, holiday, etc) she makes special. Her and my mom have this in common, I can assume the girls look up to my mom as I do my aunt Kel.
After we prepared the food and gathered ALL of the stuff, we headed out to the gardens.
Kimber and the girls of course helped us unload, put up food, put out food and arrangements. That entire family did so much for us, thank you.

We were getting ready and I caught glimpse of Kimber, she was seriously soaking everything in. She was touching everything (my hair, dress, holding my hand, sticking by my side), taking pictures of everything and just being so sweet. It was a weird day, it really went by so fast. But at one moment of us all in the Brides room, my attention was just drawn to her, I do not know why. God was showing me something so sweet, and so memorable. The love and innocence of my cousin. Kimber will grow up to be a kind, compassionate woman.

Kimber thank you for spending the best day of my life with me. Thank you for giving me something to look back on and smiling. I love you.

Callie, Kourtney and Heather thank you for helping out so much. I hope to be able to repay you all back one day. I know Heather and Kourtney are already married, but baby showers and our friendship just continuing to grow. And Callie the whole package....wedding baby shower and of course our friendship! Thank you all for being by my side, each day. Knowing I have you all is a blessing. I love each one of you with all of my heart.

New chapter in our new book :)

On August 10, 2012 James and I got married. The following day James had a civil service test at 9 am, and he got first. The next day we headed out to the Bahamas !! We are so happy and so ready for this new adventure. I am going back to school next week and things are going to get really busy around the Arredondo household.
James and I moved into a small town outside of Amarillo, it is like 15 minutes away from my parents house, so not too far. The only down fall is, my life is there. I was sad yesterday that I moved away from my routine. Thankfully my husband has talked me through it, with prayer of course and I am okay. I just miss having the gym not even 2 minutes from my house. Eventually your body hits a spot where there is no change, so I think this will be an opportunity for growth. Re-organize my goals, and priorities! Life is all about constantly changing for the better.
(Thankfully we still have a membership to that gym, I just have to get up extra early to travel there and then back to town for class!)

Our honeymoon was page one of our new adventure, so I figured I would share these pictures with y'all while we wait for wedding photos.

4 a.m. came really early.

Plane Shot

They had a million aquariums. Seriously each one was so unique and gorgeous.

This was on the back side of the main tower. People rent bicycles to ride on top of the water, it was awesome.

Night shot of the main tower.

James and I this has the coral tower in the background.

Inside joke. I love dolphins growing up, like obsessed. We wanted to show tim that I wasn't afraid of the dolphins and I could "swim" with them.

James loved this bridge.

This is where we spent most of our afternoons. It was the most breath taking beach ever, not crowded and so relaxing.

Tea area :)

Sooooo humid there :)

Our view from our balcony.

Our favorite restaurant was bimini road, and this is a picture of James waiting for his wine :)

&& then me.

Finally our wine. I feel like it was even better in the bahamas.

That night we walked into the casino and it started pouring instantly.

Starbucks for breakfast, I think James was thirsty.

Everyday we had this for lunch. Clif bar, fruit and James ate nuts to help fill him up more.

Steam boat fumes.

2nd favorite dinner was at the pizza place. It was amazing.

We got brave and went into town to see the market.

We loved the boat ride over.

Waterfalls everywhere.

This is where we spent our last afternoon. We loved this beach, it was hidden kind of. It looks like it has a bunch of people but honestly it didn't. This beach was by our tower away from the rides and attractions. It was relaxing.

We bought a water camera to take on our water slides, and rides adventures. Hopefully I will get them back soon so I can scan them in as well!

Atlantis is highly recommended. Only downfall you might spend your entire savings there. Watch out for hidden fees.

Slow to speak, quick to listen

Did you know that you are always being watched, and ears are always around you listening to what you have to say?
On our way home from the gym today my little brother,Vance, mentioned a conversation that he remembered James and I having when we first started dating. He said that after that conversation he realized that he wanted a relationship like we had. Vance also mentioned that he wants to be more like James, he said that some of his friends say that he is a "copy-cat" because he talks like James.

At my bachelorette party a few weeks ago, Berkley, my best friend's little sister quoted something I once had said. The entire night we laughed at things we did, said, and what music we danced around the house too.
Surrounded by all my friends and family, I realized we are so impressionable, at all stages of life. Depending on what we are going through at that point in our life, is what "end" we are on. When I was 19 I was hitting a "rough" patch, and I can quote you everything my friend Heather said to me during that time.
I only bring this to attention because it is important to watch what we say. It is important to extend a hand when needed. It is important to set an example for the "impressionable". It is important to be a confident vessel of God.

Vance and I :)

Vance takled his best bud- James :)

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them
Acts 16:25

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart
Psalm 37:4

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruits

Bridal shower

These little girls make me smile so big

My best friend has been planning this shower since I got engaged. She worked so hard on every aspect of the shower and did an AMAZING job. We were all "wow'd" by the entire set up:)

This is my Callie girl. She is beautiful inside and out.

I love this picture of my mom, me and James mom. Two admirable women!

Here are my bridesmaids, minus Kourtney. We miss you Kourt!

I just love this picture , and I have no idea why.

All my hostesses :) THANK YOU ALL :)

I am a lucky woman to be marrying into such a great family. They are kind, caring, and great people. I love them with all my heart, as if they were my own. This is his mom, sister, and niece.

&&&& this is my aunt Kelly. Man where would I be without her? I love her so much!

Thank you Callie Rose for everything and to all my hostesses :)
You all made me feel so special.
I love you all
